In the Chapel Hill regional, he was named the most valuable player of the event, and he also made the All-Tournament team last weekend.

This season, Gallaher has hit a sophomore breakout after a great freshman season in 2024.
In 2025, he has a .333 batting average, a .419 on-base percentage, and 76 hits. He also has 17 home runs, 13 doubles, and 67 RBI. All of these stats are vast improvements from his freshman season when he was named to the Atlantic Coast Conference’s All-Freshman team.
He has been North Carolina’s best hitter this season as he leads them in batting average, RBI, and total bases (142).
Up Next – Gallaher and the North Carolina Tar Heels are continuing their play in the Chapel Hill super regional against the Arizona Wildcats.
They are one win away from making it to the College World Series in Omaha for the 13th time in program history.
North Carolina made the NCAA Tournament in the 2024 season, a berth this year would make it back-to-back years the Tar Heels are in Omaha.
