The New York Mets will turn Citi Field into a stage for first responders tomorrow when the NYPD and FDNY face off in the fourth annual Battle of the Badges charity baseball game presented by Your Local Ford Stores. First pitch is scheduled for Sunday, August 17, at 4:10 p.m.
The event has become one of the city’s summer traditions. Both teams are packed with former professional and collegiate players who now serve as uniformed heroes.
Mets Hall of Famer David Wright will once again host, adding to the big-league atmosphere.
The first three editions of the game brought close contests and plenty of emotion. This year’s matchup promises the same intensity, with bragging rights and charitable impact on the line. Tickets are $20, with a portion of proceeds supporting first responder charities.
Fans can secure their seats through the Mets’ official site and ticket partners, including direct links for NYPD supporters here and FDNY supporters here.
