On Thursday, the Oklahoma Sooners released their full 2026 schedule.
During the final weekend of the 2026 season, from May 14 through 16, they will play against the Tennessee Volunteers.
This weekend series will not be at L. Dale Mitchell Park in Norman. Instead, the Sooners and Volunteers will play at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City.
Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark is normally home to the Oklahoma City Comets. They are the Triple-A affiliate of the reigning back-to-back World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers.
For Oklahoma, this is the first time they have played in Oklahoma City since the 2021 Big 12 Tournament.
Oklahoma Sooners and Tennessee Volunteers in 2025
The Oklahoma Sooners and Tennessee Volunteers did not play during the 2025 season.
Oklahoma finished the year 38-22 overall and was 14-16 in SEC play. It was their first season in the SEC after leaving the Big 12 following the 2024 season.
They made the NCAA Tournament and played in the Chapel Hill regional. Despite two wins in regional play over the Nebraska Cornhuskers and one win over the North Carolina Tar Heels, they were knocked out in the regional final.
The Tennessee Volunteers finished the 2025 season 46-19 overall. They were 16-14 in SEC play.
They hosted a regional at Lindsey Nelson Stadium in Knoxville as the 14th-overall national seed in the NCAA Tournament.
The Volunteers made it to the Fayetteville super regional before their season ended. They became the only college baseball program in history to make five-straight super regional appearances.
