Ole Miss, Clemson Make Big Additions in NCAA Transfer Portal

The Ole Miss Rebels and Clemson Tigers made some big additions in the NCAA transfer portal as of recently. Here is what to know about each player and their new location.

Tennessee’s Michael Sharman Commits to Tennessee

The Clemson Tigers landed a transfer commitment from left-handed pitcher Michael Sharman. He spent the 2025 college baseball season as a redshirt junior playing for Tennessee.

Sharman had a 3.18 ERA in 22 2/3 innings of work. In his 17 total appearances, he also made three starts.

Over the course of the 22 2/3 innings he pitched, Sharman had 25 strikeouts and allowed an opposing batting average of .229.

His best game for the Tennessee Volunteers came on April 29, 2025, against Northern Kentucky. He pitched 4 1/3 innings and had six strikeouts while allowing just one earned run.

Clemson ranked right in the middle of the ACC in pitching based off team ERA (5.09). By adding Sharman, this is a move that helps add some big-time power conference experience to an Erik Bakich team desperate to finally get over the hump.

This marks another notable transfer move between these two schools, as corner infielder Billy Amick transferred from Clemson to Tennessee after the 2022 season. Amick became a key piece for Tennessee on both the 2023 team and the 2024 National Championship team.

Murray State’s Dom Decker Commits to Ole Miss

After being a part of a Cinderella run in the NCAA Tournament, Murray State’s Dom Decker is headed to Oxford, Miss., for the 2026 college baseball season.

In 2025, Decker had a .343 batting average and a .491 on-base percentage with the Racers. In his 71 total hits, he had 16 doubles and 46 RBI as well.

Decker has some history with Ole Miss, as his Racers team elimated the Rebels in the Oxford regional this year. In the final of the regional, Decker had three hits, scored three runs, and drove in a run as Murray State defeated Ole Miss 12-11 in one of the season’s most thrilling regional games.

Decker was very impressive in the Durham super regional as well. He had eight hits and seven RBI over the course of the three games that the Racers played against the Duke Blue Devils.

This past season, the Rebels had an offense that ranked in the middle of the pack in the SEC. The team had a batting average of .287, which ranked eighth in the league. With an addition like Decker, the Rebels can sure up their offense for next season.
