This week, the Ole Miss Rebels received a commitment from junior college left-handed pitcher Patrick Collopy. The sophomore is currently playing at Temple College in Texas.
The southpaw announced via X that he would be heading to Oxford to play for the Ole Miss Rebels to continue his college baseball career.
This season, Collopy has made seven starts and has a 4-1 record throughout nine appearances. He has a 3.46 ERA in 39 innings of work with 45 strikeouts. His WHIP sits at 1.33.
His past two starts against Weatherford College were good. On March 12, he went five innings, gave up only one earned run, and struck out four hitters. Then, on March 19, he went six innings and struck out four hitters. Both of these starts resulted in wins.
Collopy was a member of the 2022 high school class from Austin, Texas. He was a top 50 left-handed pitcher from the state and was formerly committed to play for the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns.
The left-hander will head to Ole Miss for his junior season following the conclusion of the 2025 college baseball season.
