Ole Miss Rebels right-handed pitcher Cade Townsend received MRI results on his shoulder.
According to Ole Miss head coach Mike Bianco, Townsend’s MRI results were clean and showed mild inflammation in his shoulder. Bianco went on to say that Townsend will begin rehabilitation and recover on a day-to-day basis.
The MRI stemmed from the Rebels’ game against the Texas Longhorns on Saturday, March 14.
After one inning of work, Townsend was removed from the mound for precautionary reasons. The Rebels went on to lose that game to Texas, 11-2.
