Two very exciting games took place on Sunday for two very different reasons. The Phillies and Mets played an instant classic, while the Padres and Dodgers showcased how deep the rivalry is. Here’s everything you missed from yesterday’s postseason action.
Philadelphia Phillies 7, New York Mets 6 –
This series is heading to New York tied up at one apiece. Nick Castellanos was the hero as he walked off the Mets with an RBI single in the ninth inning. After starting the game down 3-0 and just three baserunners through five innings, the boo birds were loud at Citizens Bank Park. Bryce Harper sent the place into a frenzy when he hit a two-run home run to center field in the sixth inning. The very next batter, Castellanos, went deep to tie things up. The game went back and forth until Castellanos sent Phillies fans home happy.

San Diego Padres 10, Los Angeles Dodgers 2 –
If fans at home are getting the sense that these teams do not like each other, they are correct. The Padres hit six home runs in a game where the biggest story was a 20-minute delay. Dodgers fans were throwing objects at Padres players on the field and in the bullpen. The first instance was a fan throwing a baseball in the direction of Jurickson Profar. Fernando Tatis Jr. hit two home runs in the Padres win. Tatis was also plucked by Jack Flaherty, leading to some harsh comments from Manny Machado after the game. Nonetheless, the series is tied up as both teams head to San Diego.
