A sweep of the Iowa Hawkeyes on the road at Duane Banks Field led to the Oregon Ducks winning a share of the Big Ten regular season championship in its first season in the league. UCLA was the other team that also won a share of the title.

An overall record of 41-13 and a conference record of 22-8 was enough to earn the Ducks part of the title. A tiebreaker gives them the No. 1 seed in the Big Ten Tournament at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Neb., this week.

The Ducks defeated the Bruins in a series at P.K. Park from April 18-20.

For Oregon, it was also their first regular season conference championship since 1957. The 2025 Big Ten title is the 15th regular season conference title in program history dating back to the first one the team won in 1918.

The Ducks are also ending the season as hot as any other team in college baseball. They have won 10 games in a row dating back to a win against Michigan State on May 3.

They lost one weekend series all season in Big Ten play, which was against the Ohio State Buckeyes from March 28-29.

Head coach Mark Wasinowski was thrilled with the championship as he commented on it via Oregon’s X account.

“Awesome,” Wasinowski said. “We needed to come in and win all three. We did. We came and won all three.”

Up Next – For the Big Ten Tournament, Oregon is in Pool A along with Michigan State and Nebraska. They will first play Michigan State on Thursday, May 22. The first pitch for that game at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Neb. is scheduled for 7 p.m. EDT.
