Milwaukee split a four-game series between NL Division leaders thanks to a three-run eighth inning. Here’s everything you missed from yesterday in the MLB.

Brewers 6, Dodgers 4

  • Willy Adames singled to tie the game in the eighth inning before Tyler Black grounded out to third and scored a run that proved to be the winning run for Milwaukee. The Brewers took the final two games of the series to earn the split. The Dodgers lead the Diamondbacks and Padres by two games in the NL West.

A’s 7, Mets 6

  • JJ Bleday hit his first career grand slam in the fourth inning to cut the A’s deficit before Seth Brown drove in the winning run on a single in the sixth. New York dropped two of three against the A’s and sit two games out of the third NL wild card spot.

Tigers 2, Mariners 1

  • Detroit completed the three-game sweep of the Mariners thanks to a two-run homer from Javier Baez in the eighth inning. In relief, Kenta Maeda pitched five and two-thirds of one-hit ball to help the Tigers win their fourth straight game. Seattle trails the Astros by three games in the AL West.

Giants 6, Braves 0

  • The Giants snapped their four-game losing streak on the back of a scoreless seven and two-thirds from Logan Webb, including seven strikeouts. Grant McCray picked up his first career hit and home run in his second game with San Francisco. The Braves hold the final wild-card spot in the NL and have a three and a half-game lead over the Giants.

Orioles 5, Red Sox 1

  • Zach Eflin won for the fourth time as an Orioles after six innings where he allowed one run and struck out eight. Gunnar Henderson hit a two-run homer in the fourth inning, giving Baltimore the lead. The Orioles returned to a tie with the Yankees atop the AL East.

Phillies 13, Nationals 3

  • Weston Wilson hit for the cycle, the ninth Phillies player to ever do so, to help Philadelphia take game one of the series. Zack Wheeler struck out six and allowed two runs in six innings.

Twins 3, Rangers 2

  • Carlos Santana hit a sac fly off Rangers all-star closer Kirby Yates to drive in the winning run for Minnesota. The Twins trail the Guardians by four games in the AL Central.
