Baseball United will sponsor the Little Palestine Classic, a three-game international baseball series taking place just outside of Chicago from August 1–3. The event will feature a high-stakes rematch between Palestine and Pakistan, two emerging national teams in the Asian baseball scene.
This series marks a continuation of a growing rivalry that reached new heights earlier this year at the 2024 West Asia Baseball Cup, where Palestine captured its first-ever championship with a dramatic 5-4 extra-inning victory over Pakistan in the final. The win was a historic milestone, not only marking Palestine’s first title as a national baseball team but also dethroning the regional powerhouse, Pakistan.
The two teams also met in Chicago in 2023, with Palestine winning both contests. With both squads steadily improving, the Little Palestine Classic is expected to deliver competitive baseball.
A Key Tune-Up for the Asia Baseball Championship – The series will serve as crucial preparation for both teams ahead of the 2024 Asia Baseball Championship, set to be held in China from September 22–29. Pakistan has been placed in Group A, where they will face Japan, China, and the Philippines. Palestine will compete in Group B against South Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
With tough matchups awaiting in the continental tournament, both Palestine and Pakistan will use the Little Palestine Classic as a final tune-up and opportunity to assess rosters, strategies, and player readiness on the international stage.
