The Arkansas Razorbacks swept the Charlotte 49ers over the weekend at Baum-Walker Stadium. Left-handed reliever Parker Coil had arguably the most impressive weekend out of any Arkansas player. Here is how his weekend went down.
Coil made his first appearance of the weekend against Charlotte on Friday. He came in late in the game after the 49ers had put 10 runs on the board. Arkansas was mounting a comeback, and it was up to him to keep Charlotte’s offense from producing even more.
In Friday’s contest, he struck out three batters in two innings of work. During that same stretch, he gave up no hits, runs, or walks.
His relief outing was a huge part of the Razorbacks’ 11-10 comeback win over the 49ers.
