Penn State to Play Indiana State in the Bahamas During 2026 College Baseball Season

On Monday, it was announced that the Penn State Nittany Lions and Indiana State Sycamores will play a weekend series in the Bahamas during the 2026 college baseball season.  

The weekend series between the two teams will be from February 27 through March 1. The games will take place at Andre Rogers National Baseball Stadium in Nassau.  

The game on February 27 will be at 6 p.m. EST. The following game on February 28 will be at 5 p.m. EST. The final game on March 1 will be at 11 a.m. EST.

‘High Level NCAA Competition to Our Shores’ 

The Bahamas Minister of Youth, Sports, and Culture, Mario Bowleg, commented on the massive announcement.  

“We are excited to announce this highly anticipated three-game series featuring two outstanding collegiate programs,” Bowleg said. “This exciting series brings high-level NCAA competition to our shores, showcasing exceptional athletic talent and offering tremendous opportunities for local fans, student-athletes, and the broader sports community.” 

Penn State and Indiana State During the 2025 College Baseball Season 

In 2025, Penn State finished the season 33-23 overall. The Nittany Lions were also 15-15 in Big Ten play.  

They made a solid run in the Big Ten at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha. They won two games against the Washington Huskies and the USC Trojans.  

Penn State also played in the 2025 Puerto Rico Challenge last season. During that invitational event, they won two games against UConn and Missouri.  

Indiana State went 24-31 overall during the 2025 season. The Sycamores were also 12-15 in Missouri Valley play.  

They missed the NCAA Tournament after making the field in the previous two seasons.
