Phillies Clinch NL East: One Thing From Each MLB Game

The Philadelphia Phillies have clinched their first division title since 2011 and are looking to make it back to the World Series. Here’s everything you missed from last night’s MLB action.

Philadelphia Phillies 6, Chicago Cubs 2

Kyle Schwarber collected his 100th RBI on the season as he hit his 37th homer. The Phillies are officially division champions for the first time in over a decade.

Boston Red Sox 4, Toronto Blue Jays 1

Jarren Duran hit his 14th triple of the year as the Red Sox try to finish the season off strong. Triston Casas walked three times in the contest.

Seattle Mariners 6, Houston Astros 1

The Mariners have an outside chance to win the division, but it would take a collapse this week from the Astros. The Mariners are just one and a half games back of the Detroit Tigers and Kansas City Royals for a Wild Card spot. The Mariners collected 13 hits as they cruised past the Astros.

San Francisco Giants 6, Arizona Diamondbacks 3

The National League Wild Card race is the most interesting thing to watch this week. The Diamondbacks are only 1.5 games ahead of the Braves, who take on the Mets this week. The Giants assisted the Braves by taking care of the Diamondbacks in game one.
