Players who Stood Out in the Texas A&M Fall Exhibition Against Sam Houston

This past weekend, the Texas A&M Aggies competed in a fall exhibition at Blue Bell Park against the Sam Houston Bearkats.  

The Aggies won the exhibition 22-7. Here are three players for Texas A&M that stood out in the win over Sam Houston.  

Weston Moss gets the Start for Texas A&M 

Weston Moss got the start for the Aggies in the exhibition against Sam Houston. He had two strikeouts as he cruised through the first inning of play.  

In 2025, Moss pitched 48 innings for Texas A&M. He had 50 strikeouts and allowed an opposing batting average of .215.  

He had a 6-3 record and recorded a save against the Tennessee Volunteers on April 5.  

Aiden Sims Leads Aggies in Strikeouts  

Aiden Sims led the Aggies in strikeouts during the exhibition against Sam Houston.  

In the two innings that he pitched, he had four strikeouts and allowed no runs.  

Sims pitched 13 innings for Texas A&M during the 2025 season. He had 13 strikeouts over that stretch.  

According to Perfect Game, the right-handed pitcher was also a top 100 player from the state of Texas in the 2024 high school class.  

Freshmen Nico Partida and Luke Billings Hit Home Runs 

Nico Partida hit a home run for the Aggies against the Bearkats. He also had four RBI.  

He is a highly regarded prospect from the 2025 high school class. According to Perfect Game, Partida was a top 50 player nationally.  

He was also ranked as the second-best player from the state of Texas in the 2025 class.  

Fellow freshman Luke Billings also hit a home run and had four RBI for the Aggies.  

The Prosper, Texas native was ranked as a top 25 outfield prospect by Perfect Game in the 2025 high school class.  

He was also ranked as a top 15 player from the state of Texas.  

Up Next for Texas A&M 

The Aggies will have another exhibition game at Blue Bell Park in College Station. On Friday, April 10, they will host the TCU Horned Frogs. 

TCU went 39-20 overall last season. They were also 19-11 in Big 12 play and made the 2025 NCAA Tournament. 

The first pitch for that exhibition game is scheduled for 7 p.m. EDT.
