SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (June 14, 2025) – Prague (Czechia) Little League is headed to Greenville, North Carolina, to represent the Europe and Africa Region at the 2025 Little League Softball® World Series, Presented by DICK’S Sporting Goods, after defeating Italy 5-3 in the regional championship game.
Prague Little League delivered a dominant performance throughout the tournament, going undefeated with a 7-0 record. The Czech squad piled up more than 95 runs while holding opponents scoreless in their first six games before their hard-fought victory over Italy in the final.
This marks Prague’s first trip to the Little League Softball World Series since 2014 and the fourth appearance overall for a Czech team. Following Prague’s 2014 appearance, Northwest Czech Republic Little League represented the region in 2017 and 2018, before Italy earned four consecutive trips to the World Series from 2019 to 2024.
Czechia will open the 2025 World Series in the Orange Bracket against the Canada Region champion in Game 3 on Sunday, August 3, at 4 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
The 2025 Little League Softball World Series, set for August 3-10 in Greenville, promises to be a celebration of youth softball. Since 2018, participation in Little League Softball has grown by approximately 8%, thanks to initiatives such as the Girls with Game® campaign, expanded ESPN coverage, and a growing partnership with Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL).
This year’s participants will also enjoy a unique opportunity to connect with the sport’s top professionals when AUSL brings its 2025 Pro Games to Greenville, including a doubleheader at East Carolina University on Wednesday, August 6.
The road to Greenville will be showcased across ESPN platforms, with 129 softball games airing over five weeks, including a record 27 contests on linear television. Coverage begins with the Little League Softball West Region matchup between Utah and Northern California on Saturday, July 19, at Noon ET on ESPN+.
