The Baseball Federation of Puerto Rico established the U-15 National Championship in 2022. Cidra became the fourth winner.
The Sports Institute Basilio Milán Hernández in Toa Baja won the second edition of the Public Middle School Tournament, defeating Arecibo, 6-1, at the Celestino Román Lay ballpark in Cerro Gordo, a town in Vega Alta. Aniel González earned MVP honours.
FBPR and the Education Department organised the Public Middle School tournament, which involved 30 teams of the island.
Ponce Cachorros and Yabucoa split wins in the first two games of the best-of-three final series. Ponce dominated game one, 13-3, while Yabucoa won the second, 4-3.
Yabucoa will host the Championship Game on Saturday, November 29.
