SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (July 29, 2025) – For the second consecutive year, On Field LLS Little League from Repentigny, Quebec, will proudly represent Canada at the 2025 Little League Softball® World Series (LLSWS), presented by DICK’S Sporting Goods, in Greenville, North Carolina.
Punching their ticket to Greenville in dramatic fashion, On Field LLS walked it off in the bottom of the sixth inning to secure a thrilling 5-4 victory over Capital Region Little League (Alberta) in the Canada Region Championship. After giving up the lead on a double to center field, the resilient Repentigny squad rallied late to clinch the title. Over the course of five regional games, they tallied an impressive 38 runs and will carry that offensive firepower into this year’s international tournament.
Canada opens its 2025 LLSWS campaign in the Orange Bracket with a highly anticipated matchup against Prague Little League of Czechia, the Europe-Africa Region representative, in Game 3 at 4 p.m. ET on Sunday, August 3. The game will stream live on ESPN+.
The 2025 Little League Softball World Series runs from August 3-10 at Stallings Stadium in Greenville. Since 2018, participation in the Little League Softball® program has grown by approximately 8%, bolstered by strong partnerships, the “Girls with Game” initiative, expanded media visibility, and increased collaboration with the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL).
