Rob Evans is a veteran left-handed pitcher for the Miami Hurricanes heading into the 2026 college baseball season.
The 2025 season was his first with the Hurricanes after transferring from Georgia State.
In 2025, he pitched 15 1/3 innings and posted a 4.70 ERA. He also had a strike-throwing rate of 58.3% with 14 strikeouts.
In 2026, he can be part of the Hurricanes’ starting rotation after helping the team reach a super regional.
He had a great summer playing in both the 2025 Cape Cod League and 2025 MLB Draft League, which has him primed to play a big role for Miami as a starter.
Evans in the Cape Cod League, MLB Draft League
During this past summer, Evans was a standout pitcher in the Cape Cod League for the Cotuit Kettleers.
In 13 2/3 innings of work, he had a 1.32 ERA and 13 strikeouts. He also had a sub-1.00 WHIP as well.
Evans also played in the 2025 MLB Draft League for the West Virginia Black Bears. In seven innings of work, he had a 3.86 ERA and eight strikeouts. He also picked up a win for the Black Bears.
Evans made five total starts in both the Cape Cod League and MLB Draft League and put together a combined 2.08 ERA.

The Miami Hurricanes will begin the 2026 college baseball season on February 13 against the Lehigh Mountain Hawks.
The game is at Miami’s home ballpark, Alex Rodriguez Park, and the first pitch is at 7 p.m. EST.
