The 2026 college baseball season will be the junior year for UCLA Bruins infielder Roman Martin. He has put together some great numbers through his first two seasons of college baseball.
Martin and His 2024, 2025 Seasons with UCLA
In two seasons in Los Angeles, Martin has a .312 batting average and a .431 on-base percentage. He also has 23 career doubles, 12 career home runs, and 83 career RBIs.
Martin made his name well-known during the 2025 NCAA Tournament in the Los Angeles regional.
In three games against Fresno State, Arizona State, and UC Irvine, the infielder had six hits. Four of those hits came in the Bruins’ opening game of the NCAA Tournament against the Bulldogs.
He also had eight RBIs and two home runs as UCLA swept its way through the Los Angeles regional at Jackie Robinson Stadium.
Martin’s great hitting was enough for him to bring home the 2025 Los Angeles Regional Most Outstanding Player award.
Martin was also second-team All-Big Ten this past season.
The infielder played a large role in UCLA winning a share of the 2025 Big Ten regular season title and making it to the College World Series.

The UCLA Bruins will begin the 2026 college baseball season on February 13 against the UC San Diego Tritons.
The game is at Jackie Robinson Stadium, and the first pitch is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET.
Heading into the 2026 season, UCLA is the preseason number one team in the country according to D1 Baseball.
