Savannah Bananas Sell Out Nissan Stadium in Tennessee

The NFL’s Tennessee Titans’ 2025 draftees took the field at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee, for the first time this past Saturday, but it wasn’t to play a football game.

Instead, players like quarterback Cam Ward, taken first overall in this year’s NFL Draft, showed off handshakes with members of the Savannah Bananas, who played in front of 70,000 spectators.

Saturday’s game was the third time this year that the Bananas have sold out a football stadium. On April 26, the family-friendly baseball club sold out Clemson University’s Memorial Stadium, which seats 81,000, in an exhibition game against the Party Animals. The crowd was the largest in the team’s history.

The Bananas, who play an unorthodox style of baseball filled with dancing between pitches and fan participation, also sold out Raymond James Stadium, the home field of the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers, on March 15.

At Nissan Stadium, 15-time Grammy Award nominee and country artist Dierks Bentley performed a song before the game, and former Titans defensive end Jevon Kearse and a Party Animals player faced off in a dance battle near the pitcher’s mound.

The Bananas began their 2025 Banana Ball World Tour on February 1 in Mesa, Arizona. In addition to college and NFL stadiums, the tour includes 18 stops at Major League Baseball stadiums, including Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati, Ohio, Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California, and Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The Bananas’ opponents this year are the Party Animals, Firefighters, Texas Tailgaters, and The Visitors.
