In one month, the Curaçao National Team will head to Colombia to prepare for the upcoming Caribbean Baseball Cup in late October. They will face the Vaqueros de Monteria, who play winter ball in Colombia.
The Curaçao National Team has always had a strong foundation of players, but we will have to see when the official rosters will be announced for both clubs. Some players included on Curaçao’s teams could be Didi Gregorius, Jonathan Schoop, Roger Bernadina, and Shairon Martin, holding the top spot in their rotation.
As for the Vaqueros de Monteria, they are coming off their second appearance in the Caribbean Series in 2023. The Vaqueros finished in fourth place last year, going 4-5. Two notable names that could be suiting up with the Vaqueros this winter are infielder Dilson Herrera and A’s outfield prospect Brayan Buelvas, who helped carry the Vaqueros into the Carribean Series.
This will be the first Serie Internacional to take place in history. The games will be held in Monteria, Colombia, from October 18 to 20. Information will be released soon regarding when tickets will be available for purchase.
