Most MLB teams were back in action after a night off. Here’s one thing from every game last night around the MLB.

Guardians 7 White Sox 6

  • The Guardians pinch-hit Bo Naylor in the ninth, and he provided the winning run on a sac fly to center to walk off Chicago. Schneemann and Freeman both went deep for Cleveland.

Cardinals 7 Pirates 4

  • Nolan Gorman hit a grand slam in the fourth inning to help St. Louis jump out to an early 6-0 lead. Kyle Gibson allowed four runs in five innings and struck out eight Pittsburgh hitters.

Red Sox 8 Marlins 3

  • Kutter Crawford pitched six strong innings, allowing one run and striking out seven. The Red Sox hit two bombs and cruised to a win over Miami.

Mets 7 Nationals 2

  • The Mets returned from two down and tied the game in the eighth. Jose Iglesias doubled in the tenth to start the scoring for New York. The Mets scored five in the tenth to beat the Nats.

Reds 5 Yankees 4

  • Elly De La Cruz homered and hit a triple to help Cincinnati get past the Yankees. New York tried to mount a comeback, including home run number 32 on the year for Aaron Judge, but fell short. Alexis Diaz shut the door for the Reds in the ninth.

Blue Jays 7 Astros 6

  • The Blue Jays opened up a quick 7-0 lead thanks to a three-run homer from George Springer and a solo shot from Spencer Horwitz. The Astros scored five in the fifth in a comeback effort but didn’t finish the job. Yordan Alvarez went deep in the losing effort.

Giants 5 Braves 3

  • San Francisco went yard three times to get the win. They’ve won six of their last eight. Hayden Birdsong allowed two runs through five innings to pick up his first big league win.

Twins 5 Tigers 3

  • Manuel Margot went deep to push the Twins home run stretch to 20 games in a row. Byron Buxton scored on a fielder’s choice in the seventh to provide the winning run. Correa homered in the eighth to add some insurance.

Rangers 7 Padres 0

  • Nathan Eovaldi allowed one hit over seven innings to shut down the Padres offense. Nate Lowe hit two home runs to lead the charge for Texas.

Phillies 6 Cubs 4

  • The Phillies got four runs from Trea Turner, including two home runs. A three-run ninth from the Cubs wasn’t enough to rally toward the win.

Rays 5 Royals 1

  • A game that was interrupted by a two-hour rain delay and ended just after midnight. Zack Littell picked up the win after five innings when he allowed no runs.

Brewers 4 Rockies 3

  • Rhys Hoskins was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the top of the ninth to drive in the winning run for Milwaukee. Willy Adames hit a sac fly right before to tie the game.

A’s 7 Angels 5

  • Butler and Rooker hit homers for the A’s in a four-run fourth inning. Three more from Oakland in the sixth led the A’s to the win. Mitch Spence allowed one run in five and a third.

 Orioles 2 Mariners 0

  • A single from Anthony Santander in the fourth proved to be enough for Baltimore in this game. Grayson Rodriguez racked up eight Ks and allowed two hits through six innings of work. The Orioles have won five of six.

Dodgers 6 Diamondbacks 5

  • The Dodgers won on a walk-off single from Teoscar Hernandez. LA scored two in the ninth to rally to victory. Shohei Ohtani provided a two-run homer in the seventh for his 27th on the season.
