With just 60 days until the WBSC Premier12 Tournament gets underway, the WBSC has released opening titles for the event. The title was created in collaboration with MUT.Studios. In honor of the Year of the Dragon, the footage shows the journey of three dragons who each represent one of the lands hosting the third edition of the WBSC’s Premier12 Tournament.
Dragons symbolize power and protection, uniting cultures from far away. Premier12’s journey will begin in Guadalajara and Tepic in Mexico, with the opening games slated for November 9. The other games will be held in Nagoya, Japan, and Taipei City, Taiwan, with the finals in Tokyo, Japan.
The opening titles will be played at the beginning of each international broadcast for all 38 games of the event, with WBSC President Riccardo Fraccari hailing the innovative video. Fraccari said, “The innovative and exciting opening titles will provide the perfect starlet of the international broadcast of each Premier12 game in November. The Premier12 is our flagship event, and highlighting each of the three hosts is important as fans tune in for the games. MUT.Studios, in collaboration with our WBSC team, have produced a fantastic video and I look forward to seeing it throughout the tournament, which will help engage and inspire fans around the world.”
The Premier12 Tournament will take place from November 9 to November 24 and will be broadcast globally for millions of baseball fans. More information on broadcast rights holders in each country will be available closer to November.
