South Florida Bulls Have Won Nine Straight Games, First Place in the American Athletic Conference

The South Florida Bulls stormed through non-conference play at the start of the 2026 college baseball season.

The Bulls have an 18-3 overall record and have won nine straight games dating back to March 3.

As of Thursday, March 19, South Florida sits on top of the American Athletic Conference (AAC) standings. They have three more wins than the second-place team, the UTSA Roadrunners.

A Look at the South Florida Team Statistics and Solid Pitching

The South Florida Bulls have excelled in a lot of aspects of baseball, which comes with their number one spot in the AAC.

The Bulls have a .309 team batting average, which ranks in the top five in the conference. However, their pitching has been the big story this season.

South Florida has a 3.15 team ERA, which is by far the best in the AAC. For comparison, the East Carolina Pirates have the second-best team ERA in the conference at 4.01.

Opposing lineups are hitting just .208 against the Bulls this season and have scored just 73 runs.

Michael Senay has been a big standout in the South Florida pitching staff. He has a 0.87 ERA and 26 strikeouts in 31 innings of work. He also has three wins credited to himself in four total starts this season.

The freshman right-hander was also named the AAC Pitcher of the Week on March 17.

Up next for the Bulls

South Florida’s next game is on Friday, March 20, against the Rice Owls. It is their first game of AAC play, and the game will be played at USF Baseball Stadium in Tampa, Fla.

The first pitch is at 6:30 p.m. EST.
