After making it to the national championship this season, the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers are getting a big pitcher back.
Cameron Flukey will be pitching in Conway again in 2026, following a breakout season in his sophomore year. He made the announcement on social media on Friday.

In 2025, Flukey made 17 starts and pitched 101 2/3 innings. He had a 3.19 ERA with 118 strikeouts and allowed an opposing batting average of .209.
Great 2025 NCAA Tournament Run
The Egg Harbor Township, N.J. native was a big weapon for the Chanticleers during their run in the 2025 College World Series.
He pitched 10 combined innings against Arizona and LSU while in Omaha. During those 10 innings, he had 12 strikeouts and allowed just three earned runs.
The longest appearance of the NCAA Tournament for Flukey came in the Conway regional against the Fairfield Stags on May 30. He pitched seven innings and struck out nine batters. He only allowed three hits, two earned runs, and one walk.
All-Conference, Big Contributor to Coastal Carolina’s Great Pitching
The great season Flukey led to him being named first-team All-Sun Belt. He was not the only Coastal Carolina player to be first-team All-Sun Belt. The team’s ace, Jacob Morrison, and star catcher, Caden Bodine, were also first-team all-conference.
Flukey’s play, along with great baseball from both Morrison and Bodine, led to the Chanticleers being one of the best pitching teams in college baseball.
Coastal Carolina had a 3.20 team ERA. This ranked second in the country only behind Northeastern.
The Chanticleers are getting a major piece from an elite pitching team back for next season in Flukey.
