Tennessee Hires Chuck Jeroloman to be Associate Head Coach

On Thursday, D1 Baseball’s Kendall Rogers reported that the Tennessee Volunteers are hiring Chuck Jeroloman as their new associate head coach.

Jeroloman was previously the associate head coach and recruiting coordinator for the Florida Gators. He is taking over the role that Tennessee head coach Josh Elander held under Tony Vitello.

The Volunteers’ new associate head coach was also the acting interim for Florida. The Gators’ head coach, Kevin O’Sullivan, is currently on a leave of absence from the team due to personal matters.

According to Volquest.com’s Eric Cain, Ross Kivett will be Tennessee’s recruiting coordinator.

Jeroloman spent six seasons in Gainesville with the Florida Gators under head coach Kevin O’Sullivan.

During that time, he helped lead Florida to the NCAA Tournament in every season. The Gators also won the 2023 SEC regular season title with the help of Jeroloman’s coaching.

Elander has a prior relationship with the former Florida associate head coach as well.

According to the Knoxville News Sentinel’s Mike Wilson, Jeroloman was a volunteer coach for the TCU Horned Frogs during Elander’s junior season of playing college baseball.

Jeroloman also has prior coaching stints for the South Florida Bulls and Jacksonville Dolphins.

Florida’s 2025 Fall Exhibition Games

In the midst of this major coaching move, the Florida Gators have a fall exhibition game at VyStar Ballpark in Jacksonville.

They will play the Jacksonville Dolphins today at 6:30 p.m. EDT.

This is the first of two fall exhibition games for Florida. On November 9, they will play the Georgia Southern Eagles at Condron Family Ballpark in Gainesville.

The first pitch for that fall exhibition game will be at 2 p.m. EDT.
