The Tennessee Volunteers landed a commitment from another big high school prospect.
On Friday, left-handed pitcher Jackson Estes announced his commitment to Tennessee via Instagram.
The six-foot-three-inch tall prospect from North Little Rock, Ark. plays for North Little Rock High School. He had made a previous commitment to play for Crowder Junior College.
According to Perfect Game, he is the second-best left-handed pitcher in Arkansas and also is a top 30 player in the state.
The big pitches in Estes’ arsenal include a mid-90s fastball and a slider that he likes mixed in. In practice sessions, he could touch 90 mph with his slider.
With those kinds of tools, Estes could be a huge addition to what is one of the best pitching staffs in college baseball already this season.
Head coach Tony Vitello continues to sweep up handfuls of the country’s best recruits for Tennessee. Estes is a part of a 2025 high school class for Tennessee that is ranked third overall by Perfect Game, sitting behind LSU and Texas.
A major difference between Tennessee and the rest of the teams is that the Volunteers have 25 high school prospects committed to come to Knoxville, the most of any school in the top 25, with the next closest being Arkansas with 19.
Estes is set to join the Vols in Knoxville for the 2026 college baseball season if he follows through with his commitment.
