Tennessee Volunteers Playing in Minor League Ballparks for 2025 Fall Scrimmages

 Alfred Ezman - World Baseball Network  |    Sep 23rd, 2025 12:30pm EDT

This week, the Tennessee Volunteers announced that they will not be facing other college baseball teams for fall exhibitions in 2025.

Instead, the team will hit the road and travel across the state of Tennessee for intrasquad scrimmages.

The two locations the Volunteers will be at are Chattanooga and Nashville.

October 4 – AT&T Field, Chattanooga, Tenn.

The first stop in the fall for the Tennessee Volunteers will be in Chattanooga on Saturday, October 4.

The team will scrimmage at AT&T Field, which is home to the Chattanooga Lookouts. The Lookouts are the Double-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds.

The first pitch for this intrasquad scrimmage is scheduled for 3 p.m. EDT.

October 26 – First Horizon Park, Nashville

The second Minor League Baseball venue that the Tennessee Volunteers will stop at is First Horizon Park in Nashville.

This ballpark is home to the Nashville Sounds. They are the Triple-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers.

The intrasquad scrimmage Tennessee will play in Nashville will be on Sunday, October 26. The first pitch for it is at 2 p.m. EDT.

Tennessee’s 2025 Season Results

In 2025, the Tennessee Volunteers finished the season 46-19 overall, and they were 16-14 in SEC play.

For the sixth straight season, the Volunteers made the NCAA Tournament. They hosted a regional at Lindsey Nelson Stadium in Knoxville as the number 14 national seed.

Then, for the fifth-straight time, Tennessee moved on to a super regional. In that round of the postseason, they played against the Arkansas Razorbacks in Fayetteville.

The Volunteers became the only college baseball program ever to make a super regional five seasons in a row.
