Texas A&M Flips Cole Hubert, Former Ivy League Commit

Last Friday, the Texas A&M Aggies signed left-hander Cole Hubert from Hellertown, Pennsylvania. He had previously committed to Columbia in the Ivy League but announced his switch on social media.

The top 500 player in the 2025 class has been putting scouts on notice while playing for Saucon Valley High School, as he also plays in the outfield and hits well. This is something head coach Michael Early can work on as he can develop Hubert in multiple directions.

Hubert’s pitching is impressive. His fastball can already reach 90 miles per hour and has a mix of off-speed pitches. His changeup has particularly caught people’s attention.

This is a big land for the Aggies as they get a top 500 recruit to add to their 2025 high school class. Texas A&M brought in a top 25 class in the 2024 cycle and has made strides to vastly improve that in 2025. According to Perfect Game, the Aggies rank 6th overall in the 2025 high school recruiting rankings.
