Texas Longhorns Release 2025 Fall Exhibition Schedule

On Thursday, the Texas Longhorns released their fall exhibition schedule, which features two games.

On Saturday, September 27, the Longhorns will play the Texas Tech Red Raiders at Dell Diamond in Round Rock, Texas.

The ballpark usually hosts the Round Rock Classic invitational event that occurs at the beginning of each college baseball season.

Following their exhibition against Texas Tech, the Longhorns will host another exhibition game at Disch-Falk Field against the Lamar Cardinals on Friday, October 3.

Breaking Down Texas Tech and Lamar

In 2025, Texas Tech finished the season 20-33 overall and 13-17 in Big 12 play.

The Red Raiders missed out on the NCAA Tournament for the second straight season.

Much like their upcoming exhibition game, Texas and Texas Tech played each other at a neutral site during the 2025 season.

The Longhorns defeated the Red Raiders 10-5 on March 1 in the Las Vegas College Baseball Classic.

Lamar had a great season in 2025. The Cardinals went 40-17 overall and were 20-10 in Southland Conference play.

They finished third in the conference behind only UT-Rio Grande Valley and Southeastern Louisiana.

The Cardinals’ fantastic season ultimately came to an end in the Southland Conference Tournament. They lost both games they played against Houston Christian and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

Lamar played in Austin against the Longhorns on May 6 this past season. Texas won that game 9-3.

2025 Season Results for the Texas Longhorns

The Longhorns were one of the best teams in college baseball during the 2025 regular season. They went 44-14 overall and were 22-8 in SEC play.

That stellar conference record led to Texas winning the conference’s regular season title. It also led to them being the number two overall national seed in the 2025 NCAA Tournament.
