The Auburn Tigers Young Core Looks to Continue Making Strides in 2026

The successful season that the Auburn Tigers had in 2025 had a lot to do with the young core of freshmen they had.

Chris Rembert, Chase Fralick, and Bub Terrell were three players who made the SEC All-Freshman team last season.

Auburn had the most representatives on the conference’s all-freshman squad.

Chris Rembert, IF/OF

Not only did Rembert make the SEC All-Freshman team, but he was also second-team All-SEC and a first-team Freshman All-American.

He was the first Auburn freshman to gain All-SEC honors since 2008.

In 2025, Rembert had a .344 batting average, a 1.022 OPS, and a .467 on-base percentage.

He showed off the power with 10 home runs and contributed a lot to Auburn scoring. Rembert had 46 RBI and scored 49 runs himself.

He was a top 15 hitter in the SEC based off batting average.

Chase Fralick, C/IF

Much like Rembert, Fralick was also a first-team Freshman All-American, along with being a member of the SEC All-Freshman team.

In 2025, he had a .335 batting average, a .897 OPS, and a .426 on-base percentage.

Fralick racked up doubles a season ago with 17. He also had 41 RBI and scored 26 runs himself.

He was also a very sound defensive player with a .991 fielding percentage and only four errors to his name.

Bub Terrell, OF/IF

Terrell rounds out the trip of Auburn freshmen who made the SEC All-Freshman team in 2025.

Last season, he had a .300 batting average, an .830 OPS, and 17 doubles a season ago. Much like Fralick, Terrell also had a lump sum of doubles in 2025.

The Alabaster, Ala. native also contributed to Auburn’s scoring a good bit with 41 RBI and 38 runs scored himself.

Auburn’s Potent Offense in 2025, Super Regional Hosts

The Auburn Tigers had one of the better offenses in the SEC last season. They were tied for the second-best team batting average in the conference (.304) with Mississippi State.

Only the Arkansas Razorbacks had a better team batting average in the SEC in 2025.

Auburn was also ranked second in the SEC and 11th nationally in doubles with 132. Only the LSU Tigers had more doubles a season ago.

The Tigers finished the 2025 season 41-20 overall. They were 17-13 in SEC play and finished sixth in the conference standings.

In the NCAA Tournament, Auburn hosted a regional at home in Plainsman Park as the number four overall national seed.

Three wins in regional play against Central Connecticut State, Stetson, and N.C. State allowed them to host a super regional.

The Tigers’ season came to an end in the Auburn super regional. The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers defeated them in two games.

Coastal Carolina went on to finish as national runners-up. They played in the national championship series against the LSU Tigers in Omaha.
