The 2025 Baseball European Champions Cup starts Saturday, May 17, with a matchup between Czechia’s Draci Brno and Spain’s Astros Valencia.

Typically, a one-week tournament, the BECC will now play a full schedule, separating six teams into two groups.

According to the World Baseball Softball Confederation website, “this format allows for a sustained showcase of European baseball talent, fostering local engagement and increasing visibility for the sport.”

Participating in Group A are the Draci Brno, the Astros Valencia, and Germany’s Bonn Capitals. Group B includes the Czechia’s Trebic Nuclears, Croatia’s Olimpija Karlovac, and Germany’s VOITH Heidenheim Heidekoepfe.

Each club will play four regular-season games starting Saturday. The final day of the season is July 6. Group A’s winner will host Group B’s winner in the final round.

In 2024, Draci Brno defeated the Guggenberger Legionaere to win last year’s Baseball European Champions Cup edition, their first European title in club history.

This year’s results and statistics from the tournament will be available on the WBSC Europe website.
