Leones del Escogido 4, Tigres del Licey 1 – Socrates Brito went 2-for-4 with a solo homer in the first and two RBIs as the Leones del Escogido took a 3-2 series lead with a win on Saturday night. Brito drove in another run with a sac fly in the fourth. Grant Gavin threw five scoreless innings, allowing two hits and a walk for Escogido, and the Leones bullpen allowed four hits and a walk over four innings of work, striking out three to preserve the win. Junior Caminero remained hot, drawing two walks and grounding into a double play that got Escogido’s second run across.

Tomateros de Culiacan 4, Charros de Jalisco 3 – Jalisco got out to a 1-0 lead in the first on Michael Wielansky’s RBI single, but the Tomateros battled back, getting a run in the second, third, fourth, and fifth innings to even the LAMP championship series at two games apiece. Rudy Martin went 2-for-4 with a run scored, Dwight Smith Jr. scored on a wild pitch and Luis Verdugo scored on a passed ball, and Cesar Mendoza drove in Joey Meneses with a single in the fifth. Jack Mayfield went 2-for-4 for Jalisco with a double and two RBIs.
