The Florida State Seminoles have released their full 2026 baseball schedule. World Baseball Network looks at three observations made about their games for next season.
The opening series to conference play for Florida State will be against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. That series will be at David F. Couch Ballpark in Winston-Salem, N.C., from March 13-15.
Last season, the Demon Deacons got the better of Florida State and beat them in a weekend series in Tallahassee.
Wake Forest went on to make the 2025 NCAA Tournament. Despite being knocked out in the Knoxville regional, they were able to get three wins in regional play over Tennessee, Cincinnati, and Miami (Ohio).
The Demon Deacons will be a tough opponent for Florida State to open up conference play against, especially on the road.
Per usual, Florida State will play three midweek matchups against the Florida Gators in what is a big rivalry.
The Seminoles went 1-2 against Florida last season. The one win they managed to get was the neutral site matchup at Vystar Ballpark in Jacksonville, Fla.
The third and final matchup between these two teams will be on Dick Howser Stadium in Tallahassee on April 7.
After that midweek game, the Seminoles will travel to Atlanta to play the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets at Russ Chandler Stadium.
That will be a weekend that takes place from April 10-12.
The Yellow Jackets won 41 games a season ago and also won the 2025 ACC regular season championship.
Florida State did not play Georgia Tech last season.
To end the 2026 season, Florida State will face off against two tough ACC opponents.
First, from May 8-10, they will travel to Doug Kingsmore Stadium to play the Clemson Tigers.
Then, their final weekend series will be at home in Tallahassee against the Miami Hurricanes from May 14-16.
The Seminoles went a combined 4-2 against the Tigers and Hurricanes last season.
Nonetheless, Clemson and Miami are both coming off great seasons. The Tigers hosted a regional in the NCAA Tournament in 2025. Miami also went to the NCAA Tournament a year ago and made it all the way to a super regional.
The final two weekends of the regular season are always key for postseason implications. For Florida State, two tough ACC opponents await them during that stretch.
