Topps Releases First Juan Soto Mets Trading Card

Juan Soto and the New York Mets made headlines last night when they agreed to a 15-year, $765 million deal. It is the largest contract in professional sports history.

Topps revealed Soto’s first trading card featuring him in a Mets uniform on Instagram. The base card features Soto swinging the bat in front of an enlarged Mets logo. The card reads, “Joins Mets on largest deal in sports history,” in all caps. However, the new card comes with a special offer.

“FIRST LOOK: Juan Soto’s very first New York Mets card is officially here,” Topps Instagram post read. “Anyone who buys the base card will have a chance to receive Soto’s first-ever Mets autograph card with their order! Available now ”

There will only be five autographed cards available. The card also features a message from Soto that reads, “My first Mets auto.”

The base card is selling for $11.99, but the chance that the autographed card holds more weight.

Last season, Soto hit 41 home runs with a .288 batting average. He also notched 109 RBIs. The Mets were just short of reaching the World Series in 2024. Soto could get them over the hump.
