This week, the UAB Blazers announced their conference schedule, which features some tough ACC opponents.
On October 10, they will be in Atlanta playing the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets at Russ Chandler Stadium. The first pitch for that game is scheduled for 5 p.m. EDT.
Then, on October 25, they will play the Florida State Seminoles in Tallahassee, Fla. at Dick Howser Stadium. The first pitch for that game is scheduled for noon EDT.
The Blazers also have their Fall World Series at Young Memorial Field from October 28-30.
Overall, UAB has one of the toughest fall exhibition schedules in the country.
Breaking Down Georgia Tech and Florida State
Both Georgia Tech and Florida State had great seasons in 2025.
The Yellow Jackets won the ACC regular season title with a 41-19 overall record and a 26-9 ACC record.
They made the NCAA Tournament as the two seed in the Oxford regional.
Florida State went 42-16 overall last season. The Seminoles were also 17-10 in conference play.
The team would go on to host a regional in Tallahassee and win it. Florida State defeated Bethune-Cookman and Mississippi State twice during regional play.
They played the Oregon State Beavers in the Corvallis super regional and came up just short of going to the College World Series in Omaha.
The Beavers defeated the Seminoles in two out of three games.
UAB’s 2025 College Baseball Season Results
The Blazers went 24-30 overall last season. They were also 8-19 in American Athletic Conference (AAC) play.
Only the Memphis Tigers had a worse record in AAC play.
