The UConn Huskies revealed their schedule for the 2026 college baseball season.
One of the key points of their schedule is at the very beginning of the year. The Huskies will play in Arizona from February 13 through February 22.
From February 13-15, they will play in the 2026 MLB Desert Invitational.
The field of teams for that event is yet to be determined. It will take place at Grand Canyon University’s Ballpark and various spring training facilities in the Phoenix area.
After opening weekend playing in the MLB Desert Invitational, the Huskies will stay in Arizona and travel to Tempe to play the Arizona State Sun Devils at Phoenix Municipal Stadium.
That game will be on Tuesday, February 17 at 8:35 p.m. EST.
Then, the UConn Huskies will head south to Tucson to play the Arizona Wildcats at Hi Corbett Field.
That will be a four-game weekend series lasting from February 19 through February 22.
Both Arizona and Arizona State were solid teams in 2025. The Wildcats and Sun Devils both made the NCAA Tournament. Arizona won the Big 12 Tournament and made it to the College World Series last season.
In 2025, the Huskies finished the season 38-21 overall. They were also 17-4 in Big East Conference play.
UConn won a share of the Big East regular season title with the Creighton Blue Jays. Creighton also ended UConn’s season with a 7-4 win over the Huskies in the Big East Tournament title game.
