This past weekend, the Southern California Trojans extended head coach Andy Stankiewicz through the 2030 season.
The announcement comes after USC had a successful 2025 baseball season. In their first season in the Big Ten conference, the Trojans went 37-23 and 18-12 in conference play. They finished in fourth place in the Big Ten.
USC made the NCAA Tournament and were sent to the Corvallis regional. They won two games, beating both TCU and Saint Mary’s, before being knocked out by the Oregon State Beavers. It was USC’s first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2015.
Stankiewicz’s Coaching Career With the USC Trojans – The 2025 season was the third season for Stankiewicz at USC as he took over the program prior to the 2023 season.
In three years as the head coach of the Trojans, he has won 102 games in Los Angeles. He has won 30 or more games in all three of his seasons at USC, marking the fist time the Trojans won 30 or more games in three straight seasons since 2000-02, when Mike Gillespie was the head coach at USC.
Prior to coaching at USC, Stankiewicz had a successful run at Grand Canyon from 2012-22, winning five regular season conference titles with the Antelopes and the 2021 WAC Tournament title with the team.
He was the WAC Coach of the Year four times in 2017, 2018, 2021, and 2022.
In his time with Grand Canyon, Stankiewicz won 341 total games.
