UTSA Head Coach Pat Hallmark Receives Contract Extension

Around a week ago, the UTSA Roadrunners and head coach Pat Hallmark agreed on a contract extension that will last through the 2029 season.

Hallmark will have a base salary of $350,000, which will increase by $25,000 annually. In the last year of his deal during the 2029 college baseball season, he will make $425,000.

The head coach said he was grateful to stick around in San Antonio in a press release from the Roadrunners.

“I am excited to remain in San Antonio,” Hallmark said. “I’m very thankful to Dr. Campos and Dr. Eighmy, and appreciate their support of UTSA Baseball. Their hard work has been instrumental in my decision to stay here and, again, I am grateful for that and for the opportunity to continue building UTSA Baseball.”

UTSA’s Historic 2025 Season

Hallmark led the UTSA Roadrunners to their best season in program history in 2025. The team went 47-15 overall and were 23-4 in American Athletic Conference (AAC) play.

The Roadrunners won their first ever conference regular season championship and made it to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2013. It was only the second season in the AAC for UTSA.

Their time in the NCAA Tournament was not short-lived. The Roadrunners won all three games they played in the Austin regional at Disch-Falk Field. This included two wins over the Texas Longhorns, and a win over the Kansas State Wildcats.

Thus, Hallmark got the Roadrunners into a super regional for the first time in program history. They battled valiantly against UCLA in the Super Regional, but were eliminated in two straight games.

The head coach now has 187 career wins in San Antonio. With this extension through 2029, more wins are expected to come as UTSA locks down a contract with their head coach after a great 2025 season.
