On Friday, the Vanderbilt Commodores announced that Hawkins Field will receive some renovations.

The ballpark has been home to Vanderbilt baseball in Nashville since 2002.

This construction, which is now beginning, is a part of a massive project the university is putting together, known as Vandy United.

Vandy United is a step-by-step plan to enhance all athletics at Vanderbilt, including baseball.

The Commodores will still play home games at Hawkins Field during the 2026 season. Here are some of the incoming renovations for Vanderbilt’s home ballpark.

New Weight Room and Pitching Lab for Vanderbilt Players, Tim Corbin Comments on Renovations

The Vanderbilt players themselves will receive a new weight room and pitching lab, which will take up about 10,000 square feet.

Former Vanderbilt players have contributed financial pledges and gifts to this part of the renovations.

In a press release, the Commodores’ head coach, Tim Corbin, talked about how much it means to have former players care about the program.

“Hawkins Field is special to us and to the supporters who stand by our team year after year,” Corbin said. “We couldn’t fulfill our mission of building these young men to lead in their chosen field without the support of this community. I appreciate that we will have the tools to go on teaching in a home that our fans will be excited to share with us on game days.”

New Amenities for Fans on Gamedays

Hawkins Field is receiving two new bars for fans to lounge and get drinks at.

The first one is called Party Deck 360 Bar. This is a 2,800 square-foot bar that will be located on the main concourse.

The second one is called 60 ft. 6 Bar. This bar will be 3,730 square feet in length and located on the upper concourse of the ballpark.

There will also be more concessions with a grab-and-go place known as The Taste of Nashville Market.

This location will feature some of Nashville’s best food at Hawkins Field for fans to enjoy.
