Here are the updated World Baseball Network NCAA top 25 rankings for college baseball as of Mar. 3.
The number next to the team’s name indicates how much they moved from last week’s rankings. A (-) sign indicates no movement and/or a new team into the top 25.
Tennessee Volunteers (-) Once again, the Tennessee Volunteers remain one of a handful of undefeated college baseball teams. They had a great weekend in Houston at the Astros Foundation College Classic beating Oklahoma State, Rice, and Arizona.
LSU Tigers (+1) – The LSU Tigers had themselves a week of baseball. Long gone is their upset loss against Omaha. Head coach Jay Johnson’s team defeated Dallas Baptist in a midweek game in Arlington. They also swept through the Frisco College Baseball Classic beating Kansas State, Nebraska, and Sam Houston.
Florida Gators (-1) – A Sunday loss to the Miami Hurricanes pushes Florida back a spot. However, they did win the series over their in-state rival. The Gators also defeated Stetson and North Florida during the mid-week games.
Florida State Seminoles (+1) – Much like Tennessee, the Florida State Seminoles are among the few remaining undefeated teams in college baseball. Head coach Link Jarrett’s team is coming off a weekend sweep of the Georgetown Hoyas.
Arkansas Razorbacks (+1) – Arkansas has put themselves into the top five courtesy of a weekend sweep against the Charlotte 49ers. Parker Coil was the reliever of the weekend with an immaculate inning in Sunday’s matchup.
North Carolina Tar Heels (+1) – North Carolina is right on the brink of being a top-five team after remaining undefeated this season during this week. They gathered midweek victories over VCU and North Carolina A&T and then a weekend sweep against Stony Brook.
Georgia Bulldogs (+1)—Florida Gulf Coast was a tough opponent for Georgia, as three of the four games over the weekend were decided by a single run. However, the Bulldogs continue to roll with just one loss this season and are solidly a top-ten team.
Clemson Tigers (+1) – Head coach Erik Bakich and his Clemson Tigers might be the team of the weekend. They swept the South Carolina Gamecocks in the Palmetto Series as their pitching staff gave up six runs all weekend.
Oregon State Beavers (+1) – This past multi-team event in Arlington, Texas, held better fortune for the Oregon State Beavers than last week in Round Rock. Despite a loss to Auburn, head coach Mitch Canham’s team won the other two games against Baylor and Ohio State.
Texas A&M Aggies (-7) – A bad losing streak for Texas A&M finally ended on Sunday against the Rice Owls. Prior to that, the Aggies lost two games in Houston against Arizona and Oklahoma State and dropped a midweek game against Texas State.
Virginia Cavaliers (+1) – The Cavaliers found their groove this past weekend against Dartmouth. In three games, head coach Brian O’Connor’s team outscored their IVY League opponent 35-7. Two of those games ended in a run-rule.
Texas Longhorns (+1) – The Texas Longhorns exit the weekend as Las Vegas College Baseball Classic champions. They completed a three-game sweep taking down Washington, Texas Tech, and Illinois. Head coach Jim Schlossnagle has his team sitting on the edge of being a top ten team.
Wake Forest Demon Deacons (-2) – The Demon Deacons won two out of four games over the weekend as they played Maryland and Princeton in Winston-Salem, N.C. It was an on and off pitching weekend for head coach Tom Walter’s team.
Oregon Ducks (+1) – Offense was the name of the game for the Ducks this weekend. They put up 69 runs against the Columbia Lions, completing a four-game series sweep. Oregon had it all happening for them with a shutout win on Sunday and a 35-run performance on Saturday.
Oklahoma State Cowboys (+1) – A rough start in the Astros Foundation Classic did not fester with Oklahoma State for too long. They rebounded nicely with a shut out win over Texas A&M and defeated Mississippi State on Sunday. The Cowboys have navigated through a tough non-conference schedule thus far and came out with a winning record.
Vanderbilt Commodores (-2) – Vanderbilt had a tough time getting runs on the board during their final two games in Southern California. In losses against USC and UConn, the Commodores had just four walks as a team. A win over UCLA does save their weekend and sends them back to Nashville with something to work with.
Duke Blue Devils (+1) – The Duke Blue Devils completed a three-game sweep against Northwestern this weekend. It has been a roller coaster in 2025 for head coach Chris Pollard’s team, but that had to feel good.
N.C. State Wolfpack (+1) – N.C. State was the biggest faller in last week’s rankings. However, a weekend sweep over Canisius keeps them squarely in the top 25. The Wolfpack scored 32 runs throughout those three games.
Oklahoma Sooners (+2)—Oklahoma is among Tennessee, Florida State, North Carolina, etc., as one of a few undefeated college baseball teams remaining. Over the weekend, they had a three-game series sweep of Cal State Northridge and outscored them 22-4.
UC Santa Barbara Gauchos (-) – UC Santa Barbara stays put in the rankings after they collected a series win over the Fresno State Bulldogs this weekend. Prior to that, the Gauchos also scored 13 runs in a midweek win over Pepperdine.
Alabama Crimson Tide (+2) – The Alabama Crimson Tide are still undefeated after a weekend sweep against North Dakota State and a midweek win over Jacksonville State. In the four games they played this week, the offense put up 52 runs.
Mississippi State Bulldogs (-5) – Head coach Chris Lemonis’ team did show some fight. However, they leave Houston with only one win over Rice in the Astros Foundation College Classic. The Bulldogs also dropped a midweek game against Troy in Dudy Noble Field.
Kentucky Wildcats (+1) – Kentucky collected five wins this week. They scored 24 runs in a midweek win over Evansville and defeated Morehead State a day later. The other three wins came over the weekend in a sweep against Hofstra.
Coastal Carolina Chanticleers (+1) – Coastal Carolina had themselves a week. It started with a win over UNC Wilmington, a formidable mid-major opponent. Then, they swept the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. Their performance this week flies under the radar as one of the biggest stories in college baseball.
Arizona Wildcats (-) – A loss to end the weekend against Tennessee does not take away from the rebound that Arizona has had. Before Sunday’s loss, they had won seven straight games and that includes wins in Houston against Rice, Texas A&M, and Mississippi State.
Dropped from the Rankings: Dallas Baptist
