The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) has unveiled the official game schedule for the WBSC Premier12 2027 Barcelona Qualifier presented by RAXUS, which will be played in Barcelona, Spain, from 9 to 11 October.
Barcelona – the first of two WBSC Premier12 2027 Qualifiers with the second qualifier taking place in Zhongshan, China in November – will determine two of final four participants in the expanded 16-team WBSC Premier12 2027 presented by RAXUS, with the top two teams from each qualifier joining the 12 nations that secured automatic qualification through the WBSC Men’s Baseball World Ranking at the end of 2025.
Already qualified for the WBSC Premier12 2027 Opening Round are Japan, Chinese Taipei, USA, Korea, Venezuela, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Panama, the Netherlands, Cuba, Australia and the Dominican Republic.
The qualifiers also represent the next stage in the Road to the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games for baseball after Venezuela and the Dominican Republic booked their spots at the World Baseball Classic in March.
The expanded Premier12 2027 will award two direct LA28 Olympic berths, one to the highest-placed Asian team and one to the highest-placed team from Europe or Oceania.

The WBSC Premier12 2027 Barcelona Qualifier presented by RAXUS will take place at Carlos Pérez de Rozas Stadium.
Host nation Spain will be joined by Colombia, Germany and Italy in a single round-robin tournament, with each team playing three games. The top two teams will qualify for the WBSC Premier12 2027 Opening Round.
Opening day on Thursday, 9 October:
- 12:00: Colombia vs Italy
- 19:00: Germany vs Spain
Second day, Friday, 10 October:
- 12:00: Germany vs Colombia
- 19:00: Spain vs Italy
Final day of competition, Saturday, 11 October:
- 12:00: Italy vs Germany
- 19:00: Spain vs Colombia
