Elly De La Cruz totaled four extra-base hits, including two home runs, to become the youngest Reds player to achieve that since at least 1901. His two home runs took his total to 20 on the season and De La Cruz became one of three Reds to have 20 homers and 50 stolen bases in a season. Jesus Sanchez hit the longest home run of the season at 480 feet in the loss.

Mets 6 Cardinals 0
Sean Manaea pitched seven innings, allowing six hits and striking out 10 to help New York take a makeup game from May 8. The Mets have won eight of the last ten times Manaea has started. New York remains a game and a half out of a wildcard spot.
Diamondbacks 7 Guardians 6
Arizona won the first game of the interleague series after Eugenio Suarez singled off All-Star Emmanuel Clase to drive in the winning run. The Diamondbacks have won six of seven and moved within a percentage point of the top spot in the NL wildcard race after the win in Cleveland.
Giants 4 Nationals 1
Matt Chapman homered for the third straight game to help San Francisco reach .500 for the first time since June 1. Logan Webb and four Giants pitchers allowed six hits to slow the Washington offense. The Giants are four and a half games out of a wildcard spot after winning nine of their last 12.
Rangers 4 Astros 3
The final series of the season between the past two World Series champions ended on a Josh Smith 410-foot two-run homer in the tenth to walk off the Astros. Houston has lost three games straight after losing game one in Arlington and is one and a half games behind the Mariners in the NL West.

Twins 3 Cubs 0
David Festa struck out a career-high nine batters in five innings in his fifth major league start to help Minnesota shut out the Cubs. The Twins won their fifth straight and moved within three and a half games behind the AL Central leading Guardians.
Red Sox 9 Royals 5
Boston took the first game of a series between teams fighting for the last wildcard spot in the AL. Masataka Yoshida had four hits, tied for his career high, and the Red Sox put on a hitting clinic to get past Kansas City. The Red Sox have won four of their last five and are one and a half games behind the Royals for the final wildcard spot.
A’s 5 White Sox 1
Lawrence Butler homered, and the A’s gave the White Sox their 21st straight loss. Chicago tied the AL record from 1988 for the longest losing streak.
Dodgers 5 Phillies 3
The Dodgers took the lead on a Teoscar Hernandez homer in the third and didn’t give it up. Shohei Ohtani hit home run No. 34 in the eighth to grow the Los Angeles lead. The Phillies have lost seven of their last eight.
