Why Arkansas Landed a Favorable Draw with Their SEC Conference Schedule

The SEC conference schedule has been released for 2026. One major observation that stuck out to World Baseball Network was the conference schedule for the Arkansas Razorbacks.

The Razorbacks got a favorable SEC schedule for next season after making it to the College World Series this past year.

Arkansas Avoids Four of the Top Five SEC Teams from a Season Ago

The Razorbacks’ SEC schedule is missing some big-time teams from a season ago. For example, Arkansas will not play Texas, Vanderbilt, Texas A&M, Tennessee, or LSU.

The only team that Arkansas will have to play that finished in the top five last year is Georgia. That series against the Bulldogs will be April 17-19 at Baum-Walker Stadium.

Arkansas played Georgia last season in Athens. The Bulldogs beat them in two out of three games at Foley Field.

Common SEC Opponents Between 2025 and 2026 for Arkansas

Last season, Arkansas played Ole Miss, Florida, South Carolina, and Missouri in weekend SEC series.

Against those four teams, the Razorbacks had a 9-3 record, which contributed to their 20-10 record in SEC play.

Arkansas will play those four teams again in SEC play in the 2026 season. The series against South Carolina and Missouri will be on the road. The series against Ole Miss and Florida will be at home in Fayetteville.

Mississippi State Series During SEC Opening Weekend

The opening weekend series for Arkansas pits them against the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

This series will be the first SEC weekend series for Mississippi State head coach Brian O’Connor.

O’Connor is coming off a historic tenure with the Virginia Cavaliers, where he won a total of 917 games. He also won a national championship with the team in 2015.

The series for Arkansas against Mississippi State will be at Baum-Walker Stadium from March 13-15.
