One of Wichita State’s best hitters has entered the transfer portal. Josh Livingston has announced that he will be putting his name in the portal on Saturday.

This season, Livingston had the third-best batting average on the Shockers’ team at .284. He had a great on-base percentage at .403. He drew 28 walks this season, leading the team.

He was also a good power bat for Wichita State with 15 home runs. He was the team leader in long balls and ranked second in the American Athletic Conference (AAC), and also led Wichita State in RBI this year with 48 and was top ten in the AAC in that statistical category.

Livingston’s best games this year stem from the weekend series the Shockers played against the South Florida Bulls from April 25-27.

On April 25, he had a three-hit game, which tied a season-high. On April 27, he had a two-home run game against the Bulls.

Multi-hit games were a common occurrence for Livingston as he had 17 this season.

The 2025 college baseball season was a breakout one for the senior from Prosper, Texas. His power and improved plate discipline make him a prime target in the transfer portal for teams preparing for the 2026 season.

Up Next – Wichita State was knocked out of the AAC Tournament by South Florida on May 21. This put an end to their season as they finished 20-36 overall and were 11-16 in conference play.
