Fewer games last night in the MLB, but still full of action. Here’s one thing from every MLB game from yesterday.
Twins 13 Diamondbacks 6
The Twins used thirteen hits, including a three-run homer from Byron Buxton, to beat the Diamondbacks. Margot, Lewis, and Miranda all drove in two runs.
The Cubs scored two in the top of the tenth to sneak past San Francisco. Ian Happ drove in the game-winning runs with a two-run Shota Imanaga allowed three runs on five hits during his six innings of work.
White Sox 1 Braves 0
A Luis Robert home run in the first inning was all the Sox needed to pull away the win. Chicago used five pitchers to shut down the Braves offense. Chris Sale struck out eleven in seven innings but picked up the loss.
Marlins 7 Phillies 4
The Marlins rallied, scoring all seven in the final three innings. A solo homer from Jake Burger in the eighth was the winning run for Miami. Bryce Harper injured his hamstring, hustling to first on the last out of the game.
