Yu-Ching Tseng, a Chinese Taipei collegiate team player, has just achieved a significant milestone by winning the Prague Baseball Week Home Run Derby. His remarkable performance, hitting ten home runs in 2 rounds. He also did it in less than 150 seconds. The fact that he was presented the award by Czech baseball legend Pavel Budsky adds to the excitement of his win.

Tseng faced formidable competition in the Prague Baseball Week Home Run Derby, going head-to-head with three other top-notch competitors: Martin Zelenka from the Czech Republic, Misho Nishikawa from Japan, and Shawn Larry from Germany. Despite the tough competition, Tseng emerged victorious.

Tseng, a left-handed utility hitter, achieved a rare feat that had a profound impact. He broke the United States collegiate team’s 15-inning streak of no hits, allowing a moment that left the audience in awe.

Recently, the TSG Hawks selected Tseng in the 4th round of the 2024 CPBL Mid-Season Draft. As he looks to build on this triumph, anticipation of his future impact on the CPBL is high.

During Prague Baseball Week, two teams competed in a series of matches to see who the best would be out of Groups A and B.  Tomorrow, Chinese Taipei will be going up against Japan to decide who will win the championship.

There is also a 3rd place match between Germany and the Czech Republic. The other two games of the day include Hungary vs Lithuania and Greece vs Austria. Finally, there have been scrimmages with the Czech prospects against Greece, Lithuania, and Austria.
