Zion Rose was an impactful player for the Louisville Cardinals in 2025. He had a .310 batting average, a .396 on-base percentage, 16 doubles, 13 home runs, and 67 RBI.
Rose was named first-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). It was a great way to build off a 2024 season where he was an All-ACC Freshman.
With Rose playing at an all-conference level, the Cardinals made the NCAA Tournament and went on a big-time run to the 2025 College World Series.
Along the way, they won the Nashville regional and defeated the Miami Hurricanes in the Louisville super regional.
During the NCAA Tournament, Rose had eight hits. He went on a six-game hitting streak that lasted from the Louisville super regional through the Cardinals’ College World Series game against the Oregon State Beavers.
For the second time in his collegiate career, Rose played for the USA Collegiate National Team.
During the five-games series against the Samuri Japan All-Stars, Rose performed very well. He had three hits, two RBI, three stolen bases, and scored three runs.
Rose garnered some good draft stock heading into the 2026 college baseball season. According to MLB Pipeline’s 2026 MLB Draft prospect rankings, Rose is ranked 27th.
He is Louisville’s highest ranked draft prospect and the fifth-highest ranked ACC prospect.
The Louisville Cardinals will begin the 2026 college baseball season with a weekend series starting on February 13 and going through February 15.
They will play three games against the Michigan State Spartans at home in Jim Patterson Stadium.
