The 2026 Men’s College World Series begins on Friday, June 12, 2026 at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska.
The Men’s College World Series, essentially, has the same format as the NCAA Tournament’s Regional round, though there are eight teams instead of four – so it’s doubled.
The first two days feature the initial games from each bracket. In Bracket 1, West Virginia will face Troy in the series opener on Friday afternoon at 2 p.m., with North Carolina playing Ole Miss in the late game at 7 p.m. Bracket 2 gets underway on Saturday, with Oklahoma playing Alabama at 3 p.m. and Georgia facing Texas at 8 p.m.
Sunday will start with the first elimination game, with the losing teams from Friday’s Bracket 1 games playing to continue their season at 3 p.m. At 8 p.m., Friday’s winning teams will square off. Monday has the same scenario for the Bracket 2 teams that opened Men’s College World Series play on Saturday.
On Tuesday, the one-loss teams from each bracket square off. Bracket 1 teams will play at 2 p.m. and Bracket 2 teams will play at 7 p.m., with the winners advancing to face the undefeated team in their respective bracket on Wednesday.
Wednesday’s games could determine the two Championship Series participants. If the undefeated teams from each bracket win Games 11 and 12, both teams go to the Championship Series and there are no games on Thursday. If a one-loss team wins a game on Wednesday, they will play again on Thursday to determine which team advances to the Championship Series.
The Championship Series, a best-of-three affair, will be played on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Saturday’s start time for Game 1 remains to be determined, with Sunday’s game starting at 2:30 p.m. and Monday’s game, if necessary, starting at 7 p.m.
Where to Watch – Every game of the 2026 Men’s College World Series will be televised on ESPN, with the exception of Game 2 of the Championship Series. That game, scheduled for Sunday, June 22 at 2:30 p.m. EDT, will be televised on ABC.
