The Aguilas Metropolitanas announced their 2025 Serie De Las Americas Tournament official roster on January 16.
The Aguilas Metropolitanas 2025 SDLA official roster will consist of players who have played in the 2024-25 Panama Probeis regular season, current professional, free agents, independent leagues in the United States and Canada, the Campeonato Nacional de Béisbol Mayor, former Major League Baseball players, current minor league players, and international league players.
The No. 3 seed, Aguilas Metropolitanas, won their first Panama Probeis championship title for the 2024-25 winter league season and beat the No. 1 seed Atlánticos Bocas Del Toro-Colón 12-8 in 10 innings in Game Five of the best-of-five series at Estadio Rod Carew in Panama City, Panama on January 9 to qualify for the 2025 SDLA event.
The Aguilas Metropolitanas franchise completed its 10th season in Panama Probeis.
The Aguilas Metropolitanas will play in the 2025 Serie De Las Americas event in Nicaragua from January 24-30.
Former Panamanian Major League Baseball legend Carlos Lee is the president of the Panama Probeis League.
The Panama Probeis league is known as the Liga Profesional de Béisbol de Panamá.
Sebastian Arroyo was the manager for the Aguilas Metropolitanas in the 2024-25 Panama Probeis season.
Panama has appeared in the Caribbean Series from 2019 until 2024 and only won one championship during their six-year span, with the Toros de Herrera winning the 2019 event at Estadio Rod Carew over the 2018-19 Cuban Serie Nacional champion, the Leñadores de Las Tunas 3-1 in the championship game.
The Federales de Chiriquí won the 2024 Panamá Probeis season last year and participated in the 2024 Caribbean Series in Miami at loanDepot Park, and won third place over the 2023 Curacao Professional Baseball league champion, the Curacao Suns 5-4, and were both invitees to the event.

The Serie De Las Americas is labeling the event from the formerly-named tournament, called the Latin-American Series, held from 2013-19.
The Latin American Series featured champions from club teams in the winter leagues: the Argentine Baseball League in 2019, Liga Profesional De Béisbol Colombia from 2013-119, the Curaçao National Championship AA League in 2018, the Liga Invernal Veracruzana in Mexico from 2013-19, the Veracruz State League in Mexico from 2017-18, the Liga de Béisbol Profesional Nacional in Nicaragua from 2013-19, and the Panama Probeis league from 2013- 19.
The 2013 and 2019 Latin American Series were held at Estadio Universitario Beto Ávila in Veracruz, Mexico; the 2013 and 2017 tournament were at Estadio 18 de Junio in Monteria, Colombia; the 2016 and 2018 events were at Estadio Nacional Soberania in Managua, Nicaragua, and in 2015 it was at Estadio Rod Carew in Panama, City Panama.
The Panama Probeis teams did not win any Latin American Series championship titles when the event was in operation.
The Caballos de Cocle went 1-2 in the 2013 event, the Indios de Urraca went 2-3 in 2014, the Caballos de Cocle went 2-2 in 2015 and lost to the 2014-15 LPBC champion Leones de Monteria 1-0 in the championship game, the Nacionales de Panama went 2-2 in 2016, the Panama Metro went 2-1 and did not qualify for the championship game in 2017 due to run against and runs for with the Total Quality Balance rule, the Bravos de Urraca went 0-3 at the 2018 tournament, and the Toros de Herrera went 2-3 in 2019 at the Latin American Series.

The Aguilas Metropolitanas will play in the 2025 Serie De Las Americas Event hosted by the Asociación De Beisbol De Las Américas committee will be in January against the winners of the professional leagues with the 2024-25 Liga Profesional De Béisbol Colombia season, the 2024 Liga Argentina de Béisbol winner Club Daom, the 2025 Curacao Professional Baseball league winner, the 2024-25 Liga de Béisbol Profesional Nacional winner in Nicaragua, the Leones de León and the 2024 Serie Nacional regular season winner in Cuba, the Lenadores de Las Tunas.
The SDLA Tournament will be held from January 24 to 30, 2025, and will be held in three venues in Nicaragua.

The SDLA semifinals will take place on January 29, and the championship game will take place on January 30, according to the schedule listed below.
The SDLA event will be held at the Estadio Nacional Soberania in Managua, the Estadio Roberto Clemente in Masaya, and the Estadio Rigoberto Perez in Leon, Nicaragua.
